Robin Leach...
I'm going to queue a few songs in memory of Robin Leach, take your pick:

He signed off his "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" shows with the tagline, "Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams." Robin knew at the tender age of 10 that he wanted to be a journalist. And, he ended up journaling exactly what his soul cried for the Vegas star-studded nightlife and chronicling the elite during their extravagant affairs or lavish vacations...and was even invited into celebrity homes.
For those who closely knew Robin Leach, they would tell you he was the most down-to-Earth person you could ever meet (and that the reality television success never changed his personality). He even equated his gig as the journalist (now what we'd call a "vlogger") or the host as a caricature or "cartoon character."
He loved Vegas so much, he is in buried Palm Memorial Park, Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada... |
One of the nicer cemeteries I've been to...(aside from California cemeteries). There is artificial turf to compensate for the extremely arid climate and brutal heat of the desert heat. |

Anyway, you'd think people would revolt during a time of socialist experiments and gross government overreach like we are experiencing in real time. Anyone who has any inkling of what the legal term "slippery slope" means has seen this government overreach power-play before. History is our best example. ESPECIALLY if we don't like it. One doesn't even have to look THAT FAR back in American history...9/11/2001? In a "ruse" of "safety first," we are now literally legally spied upon (and no one seems to care, because, according to the average American: "I'm not doing anything wrong!) The Patriot Act - oddly enough was drafted BEFORE the first plane flew into the World Trade Centers. YES! They had planned to legally spy on you before the terror attack even occurred!
However, WHY can't we revolt against the tyranny? The golden handcuffs. The ruse. The illusion of happiness found in lavish homes and all the promises of what happiness supposedly is. The caveat? The more Americans earn, the more they spend/buy -- it's an endless cycle. You have now been silenced for fear of crumbling down the house of cards... champagne and caviar lifestyle so flimsy, it's held together with the glue of each payday. That is why you will never be free. The things that you own END UP owning YOU! The things you valued your entire life, those things will be sold at an estate sale for $5 after your death.
TRIVIA: Back to fabricating terror or pandemics or national emergencies. Who said it? And, what could he possibly have meant by it? "Never let a good tragedy go to waste!" Drop your answers in the comment section. Hint: He worked closely with Obama. The principle of this statement came from one of Obama's heroes - Saul Alinky - a domestic terrorist. Again, looking for the dude who coined the phrase FROM Alinky's doctrine, "Rules for Radicals."
