My first trip to Estes Park, CO, in 2019 was awe-inspiring for so many reasons! Can we say "ELK!!?" But, the top thing on my list was definitely a night tour of the infamous "Stanley Hotel," In fact, if I didn't see anything else, I was determined to see The Stanley Hotel. Honestly, I just wanted to ride a Big Wheel through the hotel hallways and corridors. Can ya blame me? What's the Stanley Hotel? Otherwise known as the "Overlook Hotel," this is the hotel from Stephen King's book (and later television miniseries) "The Shining!" Nestled in the scenic mountains of Estes Park, the Stanley is such a stately site!
