The Sworn Enemy of Lying, Pomposity, Smugness, and Groupthink

My dad recommended this book to me and I could barely put it down at the airport!  It’s called “Tucker” by Chadwick Moore.  The subject of this book, Tucker Carlson, became the target of so much unwarranted liberal vitriol, having had his address doxed multiple times in newspapers and his family terrorized by members ANTIFA (knowing he was gone at the time and couldn’t protect his family), and even had his sponsors relentlessly attacked, for simply packaging the truth with a red bow and an exquisite string of sarcasm and dry wit.  He captured the hearts of so many Americans, including mine.  He’s not so much a Democrat or Republican as he is just a good honest person and believes in the Constitution.

There’s so many nuggets of wisdom within these pages and things I didn’t know about his childhood and family.  One thing is certain, he’s one of the best investigative journalists of my lifetime, or possibly ever!  And, if you don’t believe it, look at how he got silenced by the powers that be for unabashedly speaking the truth!

One thing I learned that shocked my socks off:  Did you know Tucker Carlson had crippling dyslexia, problems with spacial relations and hand-eye-coordination, and with solving complex math problems? One of my public speaking and free thinking heroes was riddled with learning disorders all through school and never graduated college.

Not in the book - but just some personal memories and take-aways I have of all the “Tucker Carlson Tonight” shows - and the reason I would re-subscribe to Sirius XM every year just to listen to his shows weekdays on the train or on the treadmill.  I looked forward to it all day.  If I only had three to five minutes I would at least listen to his opening monologue.  I would listen to some of them again and again.  But here are my top four Tucker moments:

1) He talked about UFOs and that the Navy was withholding all these videos of stuff that couldn’t be explained in our airspace.  Nobody else was talking about this!

2) He openly and defiantly spoke out against the vaccine and Big Pharma.  We all know what happened to people who did this.

3) He reported on a leak sent to him from the Warren Commission files that revealed the CIA assassinated Kennedy.  Keep in mind these files have been sealed and kept from the American public - until everyone who was possibly involved died a natural death and could not be held accountable or face trial  - over 60+ years and they recently renewed the top secret classification!  You’re just the stupid taxpayer so shut up and row the ship!  You don’t need to know the truth.  But Fauci introduced a new COVID strain that quickly drowned out that noise.  Funny how that happens.  Distractions.  Turns out our own CIA coined the term “conspiracy theorist” to silence people who were in shock and questioning the assassination of JFK after his brains were blown all over his wife’s pink suit during a motorcade in Dallas, TX.  It was a set up.  It was planned and orchestrated to usher in the Vietnam War where over 58,000 young men were drafted and sent to slaughter so people could make insurmountable wealth off the military industrial complex - while rich senators’ sons got to stay home and attend Harvard.  Queue CCR: “Fortunate Son” https://youtu.be/ZWijx_AgPiA?si=Tb7Ta801dcaYvzfr

4) He released the Jan. 6 tapes showing the guards pulling the gates back and ushering peaceful protestors into the Capitol.  If you didn’t know this, it’s OUR building, not the Washington DC private yacht club that they think it is.  It belongs to the People - and Congress and staff are the civil servants borrowing the space to perform their duties to US (not their mega donors)!  We had just as much right to be there as they did.  But somehow our political system has become so corrupt and perverted, they really believed “peasants were trespassing on the ruling class.”  Tucker openly kept the public informed about the illegal detainment and lack of Due Process granted as a RIGHT by our Constitution to innocent people.   Congress, made up of mostly attorneys - check for yourself, found a loophole in the founding documents that if you call someone a “terrorist” you can strip them of their Constitutional rights, and thus,  they don’t get representation and can be kept in small closets with water dropping on their faces and starved with one hour of time spent outside and a fan blowing in their face with no blanket.  Fact check me.  Think about this, here is some irony to contemplate.  The same people cheering on the torturing of protestors who were at the Capitol protesting a stolen election are the same people who wanted to shut down Guantanamo Bay where actual sociopathic murderers - people who have head counts and are avowed terrorists to the US - were held - because liberals felt we violated their civil liberties.  So essentially they hold terrorists in high regard but hate people who vote the wrong way.  Honestly!  Think about that and let it rattle between your two ears.

I recommend this one!  Colorado Kimmie endorsed!

Tis the season of giving, so for those of you who also may have missed Tucker's Twitter farewell speech right after he was fired the network April 21, 2023, here it is in all its grandeur:

DISCLAIMER:  please read til the very end as I have a special little stocking stuffer for you and I hope you can devote about an hour of your time to listening in its entirety because it’s juicy!  Also feel free to regift.  Sharing is caring.

"One of the first things you realize when you step outside of the noise for a few days is how many genuinely nice people there are in this country, kind and decent people, peole who really care about what's true, and a bunch of hilarious people, also, a lot of those.  It's got to be a majority of the population, even now, so that's heartening.

The other thing you notice when you take a little time off is how unbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are.  They're completely irrelevant.  They mean nothing.  In five years, we won't even remember that we had them.  Trust me, as someone who's participated.  And yet, at the same time, and this is the amazing thing, the undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future, get virtually no discussion at all.  War, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources.  When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues?  It's been a long time.  Debates like that are not permitted in American media.

Both political parties and their donors have reached a consensus on what benefits them, and they actively collude to shut down any conversation about it.  Suddenly the United States looks very much like a one-party state.  That's a depressing realization, but it's not permanent.  Our current orthodoxies won't last.  They're brain dead.  Nobody actually believes them.  Hardly anyone's life is improved by them.  This moment is too inherently ridiculous to continue, and so it won't.  The people in charge know this.  That's why they're hysterical and aggressive.  They're afraid.  They've given up persuasion.  They're resorting to force.  But, it won't work.

When honest people say what's true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful.  At the same time, the liars who've been trying to silence them shrink and they become weaker.  That's the iron law of the universe.  True things prevail.  Where can you still find Americans saying true things?  There aren't many places left, but there are some, and that's enough.  As long as you can hear the words, there is hope.  See you soon."

Within a time span of one hour, this “closing” Twitter speech I just shared with you produced three times more views than his Fox News show ever could imagine.  The next day it had been viewed by over 55 million people, people starved for truth.

If you read the title of my blog and knew immediately what this piece was about without ever reading the first sentence, we share an unspoken bond, and you are an ally.  For those who had no idea- this was Tucker’s closing tag line in which he closed out every show.

A peculiar part of this entire blog.  I’ve been experiencing quite a few of these synchronization moments in life lately.  While I was writing this blog about Tucker Carlson, a friend of mine in Georgia, who hasn’t texted me in over three months, sent me a snip of Tucker on Twitter, now rebranded as Tucker on X.  I’m not sure how I’ve missed this, but I quickly followed and listened to the entire 90 minute interview.  Since X is allowing truth and free speech, Tucker was able to interview one of the most hated and censored men in America.  This us worth the watch!  It covers 9/11, WEF, Epstein, the globalists agenda, Blackrock, the vaccine, you name it. Tucker repeats several times, “where’s the lie?” I couldn’t find it, either.

Here it is, and Merry Christmas! https://x.com/tuckercarlson/status/1732897835572461582?s=46&t=i-uu--CGFBUmii34rRx-hA

Try That in a Small Town…

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving this year I flew out to see my family (who I hadn’t seen since early summer).  I was a wee bit home sick for family.  They decided to mix it up this year (like that one time my dad took the family to Grand Turk in Caicos - punny, right? - for Thanksgiving via a cruise ship).  I’m actually anticipating my second cruise in 2024 - but not in the Caribbean ocean.  Fingers crossed it won’t be as choppy as that random tropical storm on the last night of that Thanksgiving cruise, because I’ve never been so sick in my entire life.  Brave, no?  To try cruising again?  Quick story - when I was in Croatia I got deathly ill mid trip from a noro virus - and after surviving a night of near death I was out kayaking the Adriatic Sea the next morning.  So I am brave warrior.

Anyways, back to Thanksgiving 2023.  I’m one of those weirdos in that I don’t have a toxic family and we actually enjoy being around each other.  And we actually love and respect each other.  Seems to not be the norm these days.

This year, to celebrate Thanksgiving and catch a little r&r, we stayed at a remote Airbnb in a small town.  The house was a cute but spacious three bedroom chalet with a really open floor plan and a cozy front porch and back deck, pool table, lots of comfy lounging couches, and a fire pit.

For $59.98, you too can be the proud owner of a Buc-ee’s holiday inflatable!
Me and my mom having a glass of
wine before the Christmas play…

This trip was such a refreshing change of scenery for me from the hustle and bustle of the big city and trains and just a much needed rest for my soul.

Honestly it was like one of those Christmas Hallmark slash Lifetime movies where a single girl from the big city comes to small town for the holidays…except it wasn’t gay and I never met my gorgeous single country guy who owned a maple syrup farm in Vermont riding in the back of a horse drawn carriage.  But I did read a few great books!  So, overall it was a win.

I personally caught up on so much sleep nestled in a cozy corner bedroom tucked away in the woods while snuggled up next to two cute shih tzus.  We cooked breakfast every morning and made several amazing meals, we shot guns at the coolest outdoor shooting park (where you could shoot skeet, trap, and rifle), had several competitive billiards matches, watched some traditional holiday movies (“Trains, Planes, and Automobiles” being my all-time favorite), visited a gorgeous state park and hiked and played with the dogs, visited a quaint Italian restaurant downtown one night, and went to a local playhouse to see a Christmas themed play.

Queue theme music, song at the end of my favorite holiday movie:

And, my favorite scene from my favorite holiday movie (pardon the language but I can so relate to this “customer service” meltdown…we’ve all been there at one point.  Every single time I watch this I laugh until I can’t breathe):

https://youtu.be/jRvNg4zQ_14?si=fqNpzAFfgKTKmmn5

We watched a ton of rivalry week football and the Westminster Dog Show which I try to watch every year (and attempt to predict the winner).  I even found a great pair of jeans on a shopping outing our last day in a local small town denim shop.  I’ve wanted a pair of these vintage jeans for way too long…and, when in Rome…ya wear Wranglers…or Carhartt.  Pro-American brands!

The playhouse decorated for the play…
Me and my beautiful cousin inside the playhouse.

The fam…

The manicotti at this locally owned family owned restaurant was a huge win…

This playhouse is super cute and has a unique layout for the audience!

This is my new favorite color.  The weather waa in the teens in Colorado while I enjoyed weather in the mid 50s on holiday with light sweaters during the day…
There are very few pictures of me this Thanksgiving not holding a puppy…
Cozy farmhouse table that the girls loved at mea time…

My first pair of Wranglers.  I found these iconic retro cowgirl style boot leg jeans to don back in Colorado!

Me and my sister from a different momma snuggling and reading…

I would be remiss if I didn’t drop this controversial song by Jason Aldean.  I am a fan because it’s not “woke”:

I hope this Thanksgiving season is a time for self reflection and a focus on all you’re thankful for.  One thing is for sure: there’s always something to be grateful for.  And I’m heavy on the gratitide lately.  One of my top blessings is my wonderful family and this awesome time spent together.

Regards and much blessings,

Captain Karma and the Hedonic Treadmill…

Out of all the Marvel superheroes ever created, there has never been a superhero whose super power is inflicting the same pain on to someone as equal to or more than the pain he or she has inflicted upon others.   Think about that.  If we all personally felt the pain we inflicted upon others, we might just have a shot at world peace!  One thing is for certain: for some reason the “Golden Rule” we all learned during our wonder years is just too hard to master:  “Simply put, if you wouldn’t want it done to you, don’t to it to others.”

Me as a Superhero with my sidekick Bellarina

Why is the Golden Rule so challenging?  Western culture has quickly become, for many, a hedonic treadmill, a manmade pseudo magical solution to instantly dissolve all sadness through never ending gratification and pleasure.   It’s this never ending quest to fill a void, of chasing an ideal of bigger and better and newer that will never feed the soul, only temporarily tickle the ego.

“Success” in western culture isn’t the equivalent to a moral metric or inner journey compared to eastern culture, and therefore in the quest for success in America, one can risk losing his soul.  In fact, it’s easy to see that a lot of successful people have no moral compass.  Success on paper can look very different to who a person really is.  It’s important to never confuse the two.

What keeps someone on the hedonic treadmill?  One word: Entitlement.  Entitlement is a state of being where one feels deserving of all the benefits without sacrificing or actually doing anything.  It’s the delusional state of being that mentally removes you from the reality of yourself and who you really are - so you never have to face that person in the mirror.  When it’s entirely too painful to accept the person you are, that’s when you escape into the delusional world of entitlement and hedonism.

If you’ve ever come into contact with an entitled person, you come to realize these people look at the world much differently.  They view authenticity, honestly, kindness, and trust as things that can get you screwed in life.  Entitled people are terribly broken and feel constantly as if they should get everything they desire no matter who it hurts.  Entitled people can’t tolerate even the most minor inconveniences and react with outbursts of anger and chronic complaining and negativity.

Fueling this never ending hedonic cycle, social media and the internet are relentlessly exposing its product to the end user, you.  They try to make it addictive, a dopamine hit, to view carefully curated top locations with filtered ridiculously good looking models doing amazing things 24/7.  In a nutshell, social media spoon-feeds carefully curated bullshit to users to hook them, make them jealous, unappreciative, and envious of what others don’t really have.   The truth is life is sometimes mundane and uneventful, even sometimes sad and miserable, but that doesn’t sell or keep people logged on.

Think of this way.  Social media is free.  So how do they make billions off of users if it’s free.  Zuckerberg, alone, is worth $111.6 billion by ripping off and stealing the idea of Facebook from his college friends.  The Social Network is on Netflix if you’re interested in how he screwed people.  Trust me, it’s not the ads…to answer my own question.  They sell us and our information!

So, entitled people buy in to this social media non-reality, else they are left to face their reflection and deeply feel like a loser.  Entitled people can temporarily erase baggage and pain with more and more entitlement and become an asshole using other people, even close family and friends, as a means to an end to keep on the hedonic treadmill, knowing full well as soon as it stops, they’re left to feel the even deeper gaping empty hole.  The fact is, when the treadmill stops, the entitled person is left to see they are alone with no fulfilling relationships and are more empty than when they first got on.

At some point in every entitled person’s life there starts to be a plateau where suddenly there are diminishing returns on chronically new experiences.  This means they start losing more and more as they pant to stay on the machine!  However the more entitled people refuse to commit to people and places always running for more, more, more - eventually there is nowhere else to run.  Hence, the metaphor of the treadmill.  There is no final destination until the entitled person chooses to slow down and finally get off the treadmill and take responsibility for their pain and the pain they inflicted on others.

The fact is we are not supposed to be happy all the time.  When we are happy, we never change!   Think of cross fit.  Negative events in our life are often the catalyst for change and the cross training we need for a new and improved outlook of personal responsibility.  Also, negative emotions are often more useful because we can’t always trust our positive emotions.  Ever heard the phrase, “love is blind?”

Just like the Law of Attraction, there is the Law of Avoidance.  What this means is that people will avoid growing or experiencing an action or experience in direct proportion to how much it threatens their own identity or view of the world.  Therefore change forces us to give up part of our identity.  This is why change is hard for many people.  And those of us who have been through lots of change know how to roll with the punches without it threatening our core identity.  Avoiding losing control or having to be 100% certain about every single thing in life can make a person start to manipulate, use and string other people along.

What’s the solution?  This is western culture now.  While there is hope for reformation, after all, I am a reformed liberal, moody entitled people will continue on in destroying their own lives and hurting people.   Enter stage left, Captain Karma.  While there is no Marvel superhero, karma is very real.  The Beatles wrote the lyrics, “and in the end, the love you make, is equal to the love you take.”  I firmly believe, as a Christian, karma is very real the pain you make is also equal to the pain you take.  And, what comes around, goes around.  You will eventually reap what you sow in this life.  So, love fiercely, because this all ends.

In reflection of approaching Black Friday, I leave you with this:

Love,

Kimmie

The Man Who Conned the Pentagon

I'm a child of the 80's, so growing up as a teen in the 90s, I recall a popular game, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?"  Well, today's game is, "Who in the World is Dennis Montgomery?"

This picture popped up in my phone memories from last year and made me miss my long braid.  I’m guessing this time next year my hair will be grown out again. However, I’m using this picture because it either looks like I’m about to reveal some hard truths or bust out the robot.  You decide.  It’s me solo hiking in Golden, Colorado…

Rewind to 2020, not too long ago in America's history, a lot happened.  A stolen election, a concocted story of an insurrection (which was the card the government played to deny people exercising their first amendment rights to Due Process), and a lot of talk about Dominion voting machines - software that allegedly somehow flipped election results overnight.  Everyone who believes in science knows that the outcome was not statistically feasible.  But, what really happened?

Some of the most outspoken "front runners" tried relentlessly to spread truth about the very orchestrated stolen election enabled by a super computer called "The Hammer." The Hammer used software called, "the scorecard" to flip or steal or flip votes from Trump.  Mike Lindell and Sidney Powell, to name a few staunch conservators, were the inconvenient and hated truth tellers.  Both have been targeted without mercy and with unholy liberal terror for their conviction.  First Amendment anybody?  The system has almost destroyed both of them.

However, at the end of it all, with reluctantly released videos (thanks to Tucker Carlson showing the guards opening the doors and ushering people in COUPLED with Nancy Pelosi's documentary-film-making daughter, born with a silver spoon in her mouth, a "fortunate daughter," there ready with all her cameras) how convenient was that?  After a subsequently televised kangaroo court, and no real investigation into the matter, Chris Krebs, the Director of Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency, summed up the entire "stolen election" as a big hoax.  If anyone spoke about it afterwards, he or she was called names like "conspiracy theorist" or "tin hat right wing nut job."  And, guess what?  It works, MOST people will run away and stop engagement once they're called an ugly polarizing pejorative name.

Both Mike Lindell and Sidney Powell admitted to getting their information from one source - his name is Dennis Montgomery.  Who the heck is Dennis Montgomery?  It might surprise you that he has a long history with the federal government.  For example, do you remember prior to the 2020 election, the Trump Tower wiretapping allegations?  Dennis Montgomery came forward in 2017 claiming that he had proof that the federal government was systematically surveilling prominent Americans like Donald Trump.  Montgomery sued James Comey, then FBI Director, for an alleged cover-up of the wiretapping; however, the lawsuit was dismissed in 2018.

Here is Montgomery’s website where he avows to prove basically what Snowden already has proven and now lives in hiding because of: https://dennismontgomery.com/

Flip back a few years prior to 2014 when the Phoenix New Times uncovered that Sheriff Joe Arpaio of the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office hired Dennis Montgomery as a confidential informant.  Montgomery, who was employed by the CIA, claimed to have information proving a conspiracy against the sheriff between a federal judge named G. Murray Snow and the U.S. Department of Justice regarding a racial profiling lawsuit that had been filed against the county.  Eventually, the supposed information regarding any conspiracy was regarded as "junk."

So, now we're seeing Dennis Montgomery as 0-3 in his allegations about nefarious government activity and the officials involved.  Let's go back a little further.  In 2006, Montgomery accused Jim Gibbons of accepting bribes in order to give Montgomery's software company an unfair advantage on government bids to secure contracts for terrorist software.  So you can start to see that Montgomery is not gaining anything from his whistleblowing.

So, now we're back to the beginning of Dennis Montgomery's claim to fame.  Montgomery got his start in 1998 as a cofounder for eTreppid Technologies.  He then founded Bixware in 2006, which made video compressor and noise filtering software for the gaming, gambling, and casino industries.  In 2003, the Pentagon awarded Dennis Montgomery $30 MILLION after he claimed (not tested, evaluated, or substantiated) that he had secret decoder software that could crack secret al-Qaeda messages hidden in Al Jezeera broadcasts.  He also claimed that his software could identify terrorists from predator drone videos with one percent accuracy.

The computer geek who was awarded $30 million from the Pentagon

By late 2003-04, Montgomery's analyses from his terrorist software led to "Code Orange" shut downs of airports.  The only issue?  He was fabricating it all!  He was bullshitting us!  He was a liar, a sociopath!  None of it was real, and the Pentagon paid $30 MILLION for his hoax.  By 2006, the FBI and U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations opened an economic espionage and theft of intellectual property investigation.  Montgomery's conning of the Pentagon has gone down as one of "the most dangerous and elaborate hoaxes in history."  In 2010, a Playboy investigative article actually coined Montgomery as "The Man Who Conned the Pentagon."

So here’s the question - since Montgomery is a sociopath capable of convincingly carrying forth such bold and elaborate lies and cons perpetrated against THE most secure and protected institution in the United States, wouldn’t he know other cons when he sees them?  Do you think Montgomery’s allegations should have been taken with more pretext, respect, and seriousness?  There's an old adage that states, “it takes one to know one.”  I guess we’ll never know, especially when people who tried to fight for the truth were cancelled, imprisoned with no due process to rot in a prison cell, or impeached, raided, and relentlessly witch hunted.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this “Who the Heck is Dennis Montgomery” game.  Have you been conned by a sociopath?  I’ve been told that some of the most skilled psychoanalysts can be fooled by a sociopath.  I also learned that the defining difference between a psychopath and sociopath is nature versus nurture.  A psychopath is born and a sociopath is made.  In other words, a psychopath is born natural, but a sociopath is formed by his or her environment. Until next time…

Kimmie

Bronchial Tubes

If you’ve never been to a game at Mile High Stadium, the air is really thin, so you’ll need some strong bronchial tubes!  Also, you should really pace yourself if you’re boozing at the tailgating parties and festivities.  I saw a lot of people who couldn’t hang!

This is my second ever Bronco’s game and I’ve already dropped one blog on my first time visiting Mile High Stadium, which you should totally read by clicking on the right hand side of my main page and selecting, “Broncos”.

So allow me start with - this weekend I was all packed and ready to head out on a road trip super early Saturday morning to the Black Hills of South Dakota for an epic fall weekend playing and hiking in the Hills with a good friend and then visiting a pumpkin patch/maze on Sunday followed by brunch.  I was so bummed when I got the call on Friday afternoon that my friend woke up at 2 am sick and left work early later in the day with potentially the ‘vid which was going around the office.

When you tailgate the rule is you gotta show out and deck out.

I had so been looking forward to this trip all week, albeit I was issued a rain check.  But road-trips are just good for the soul, especially after big life changes.  So as I continued wrapping up the work week on my balcony, I noticed a lady bug had flown down on my shoulder and was just sitting there chilling.  It was a peculiar lady bug in that it didn’t have any spots on its wings.  I wouldn’t call myself superstitious but I have heard that the number of spots or markings indicate how many days of luck or weeks of luck or something like that.

Suddenly, my phone rang!  And a friend here in Colorado presented me with a free ticket with amazing seats that had just opened up for the game on Sunday, along with tailgating fun  with a bunch of down to earth people and beef brisket!   I gladly accepted!

And later that evening I received a text from another friend for sushi and walking in a gorgeous downtown park with golden trees on Saturday.  If you knew how small my circle was, you’d realize how crazy it was how quickly luck had turned in my favor - almost immediately.

Was it that little Lady Luck in that little ladybug?  Or was it a change in mindset and a grateful heart?  Do you receive great things in your life after you’ve been grateful for everything you have been given, EVEN the bad stuff?  Yes, even the bad experiences that can be culturally painful are something to be thankful for.  Why?  Well, it just means you were on the wrong path or you need to reset and refocus for the next chapter, journey or road.  Pick your own metaphor.  Be grateful for what each experience teaches you.

I get that my advice is much easier said than done, because sometimes it becomes addictive to experience sadness or victimhood.  Training yourself to become positive and learning self-talk to remind yourself that your journey is just being redirected takes practice and discipline and it’s a mindset that can help you tremendously in this lifetime!  Our own minds can be a prison otherwise.  Also negative thoughts can actually manifest physically into hardened arteries in the heart.  So when people say his heart is a stone, it can be metaphorical and literal!

1/3 of Americans feel dissatisfied with their lives   That’s over 100 million people!  And no, this isn’t just over a war with the in-laws or who hosting Thanksgiving dinner.  Think of it this way - your mind has roughly 70,000 thoughts in a day.  95% of those thoughts are a rumination or synaptic repeats from yesterday, basically reliving the past and 85% on average are negative thoughts.  Think of what all those negative thoughts are doing to you, physically, mentally, and spiritually.  The medicine is gratefulness.  Start by being grateful to wake up as you, with your sight and your hearing and your breath!  Be thankful for the day ahead and be thankful for what may lay in store.  Is the law of attraction real?  I think it is.  And it starts all in your mind.  Meditate on the paths that ended.  Learn why!  Each roadblock led you where you are today.  How would you from 5 years ago feel?  And how will the you 5 years from now feel?  Will you even remember some of this stuff?

I got some face stickers when I arrived.  I think these babies accentuate my Cherokee cheekbones, no!? ❤️

Here are a few shots of the game.  As bad as the Broncos have been over the past few years, the only two games I’ve attended we’ve won!  So maybe I’m Lady Luck!  Who knows?  It’s still shameful the quarterback is being compensated $300 MILLION  over a 6 year contract and the wins come from the place kicker who is being paid much less.  But there WAS an exciting TD and an interception in the 4th quarter.

But can I say the real winner of the game was tailgating with good people with good hearts and even better, the slow cooked brisket?  I also learned there is a deep state of Green Bay Packer fans here in the Mile High City!  There were probably more Packer fans than Bronco fans with the over 72,000 in attendance.   Unique for the Packers besides the program being in by far one of the tiniest towns in America, which shouldn’t even have an NFL team, they’re actually owned the people of Green Bay as opposed to billionaires!  They have a huge fan base and are also one of the oldest programs.  Their waiting list for season tickets is something like 30 years, which means you have to wait for people to die.  One last thing, they have this unique irrigation system for their turf and heat lamps to have turf in this longitude and latitude.  If there’s ever been a case for an indoor arena this would be it!

Full Broncos uniform 😉

The beautiful changing leaves 🍁 around Lot C really captured my heart

I wish I got more photos of 4 paraglides dropping from a plane on to the field…

My world famous guacamole

The brisket.

Tailgating at Mile High is like the infield at the Kentucky Derby!  So many pictures but this one was my fave!

A mantra I think we should all live by…the world would be a much better place if we did.

These girls are so fun

Saturday afternoon post sushi watching my Vols poolside via YouTube because it was unseasonably warm in the 80s.  If only a game can end in the first half!  Had we won, it would have been the first win on Bama turf since 2003!  If “ifs and buts” were candy and nuts we’d all have a Merry Little Christmas though, wouldn’t we?  As we say in Vol Country,
maybe next year.  At least we still have the best fight song in the nation.

Thanks for logging in!  Let me know if you take a positive step in mindfulness and maybe releasing a few attachments that were weighing you down.  Just like leaves in the autumn, use this time to shed the unnecessary weight and replace that with gratitude and magnanimous love.  Magnanimous love is even better than conditional love of the world - it’s deeper, it’s empathetic, and it’s authentic, and it’s vulnerable, merciful, and tender.  You owe yourself that.

Never be the victim, be the survivor.

Love,
Kimmie

Award Winning Chili Recipe for Your Autumn Pleasure...

A few weekends ago, I posted some snaps of the outcome of my "award winning" chili.  Immediately I had several people begging me for this recipe.  Apparently I’m not the only one who thinks chili is a necessity for Autumn.  First, my apologies it's taken me a while to sit down and write again.  The last blog I posted was from a trip I took way back in 2021 during the COVID disruptions, after a professional transition.  I am never lacking in content.   My issue is that I have so MUCH content in my head and so little time to write.  With the cooler temps, I hope to remedy this problem, especially as I write more and more from that mini computer we carry around and call a phone.

Like I said, as soon as I posted this chili, I was inundated with requests and I promised to share.  I did slip the chili recipe to an old friend from my younger years, and when she made it and posted it this weekend she had everyone begging her for the "magic sauce."  So, she responded, "Thanks to my insanely funny fellow redheaded wild woman, I made her killer pot of chili.  Thanks for the recipe, sister.  This was tasty.  As soon as she posts it on her blog, I'll share it.  Colorado Kimmie, people need you!"

I've been known to make some really great chili recipes throughout my short lifetime.  I can remember all the way back to the start of my chili making career.  In Knoxville, Tennessee, during my undergraduate, we would make this "ghetto chili-mac," for game days and tailgating.  The name wasn't to be non-PC, but because it usually entailed emptying out our meek pantry to throw everything but the kitchen sink into the crock pot.  And, yes, this included macaroni noodles, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, and beans galore.  Usually the ingredients to a chili concoction are inexpensive.  And, yes, I'm from the South and believe strongly that a good chili has beans.  I've never been a fan of the Cincinnati cinnamon chili.

As I've matured with my palette over the years, I've become more bold in the kitchen, trying out new recipes and enjoying the fruits of my labor.  There is so much to be found in the smaller things in life, like a delicious bowl of chili on a crisp, invigorating autumn afternoon, wrapped in a blanket and enjoying your Alma Mater winning in football and being ranked top 25.  (I'm a Tennessee Volunteer, in case I haven't mentioned that before.) Oh, and can I mention how elated I was that Oregon got beaten by Washington this weekend?  Retribution for humiliating the Colorado Buffs.  That Auburn transfer wasn’t as good as he thought he was.

Here in Colorado, there is an area on the Front Range that is known for harvesting the Colorado Chili, not to be confused with the green hatch chili of New Mexico.  The locals from Pueblo will become very insulted if you accidentally call their chili "green hatch."  Every year, at the start of Autumn, they have a chili cook-off, and I've yet to make it down to immerse myself with "the greats" of chili makers.  However, it did inspire me to set forth on a path of making an award winning chili, and not to sound too cliche here, but, to "go big or go home."  Anything worth doing is worth overdoing!

There were several key words in my Google search for the “best chili AND recipe AND Universe.”  This is called a Boolean connector (excuse the October pun…. “boo”) and increases precision on your search.  I landed on this recipe that had nothing but 5 star comments from fellow chili meisters saying that it won their cook-off and it was the best thing their family had ever eaten.  I took screen shots of the ingredients and instructions.  Sadly, I do not know who to attribute the originality of this recipe to.  I'd like to think it started somewhere in the South, and then it was borrowed and then someone added to it over the years.  Thus, this chili is more than likely the culmination of several chili culinary artists over the years.

So, without further ado, here is the "golden ticket" of chili recipes:

First, you'll need your ingredients, and here in Colorado, I grabbed most everything from Sprouts.  As tempting as it would seem, don't fall prey to skipping out on any of the following ingredients.  Trust me.  There are some ingredients that seem "spicy," but the end result isn't a spicy chili - like gastro-pubs you gotta trust the process and the flavor combos.  And if you have not seen the movie, The Menu, I implore you, “do not eat, but taste”:

  • 5 strips uncooked bacon chopped (I used an uncured hickory smoked, again the more smoked flavors the better)
  • 1 large yellow onion diced (about 1 cup)
  • 1 red pepper diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced (about 1 tablespoon)
  • 1 pound ground beef (I used grass-fed beef from Sprouts)
  • 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon of chili powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of ancho chili powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons of smoked paprika (again, smoked flavors...I'm beginning to sound like a broken record)
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/4 cup of beef broth
  • 15 oz can of dark kidney beans lightly rinsed and drained
  • 15 oz can of black beans lightly rinsed and drained
  • 14.5 oz can diced fire roasted tomatoes
  • 7-oz can fire roasted green chilis
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Preferred toppings: I chose sour cream (can sub plain Green yogurt, which I did), cheese, Frito corn chips.  Toppings are unnecessary for the chili, but also fun.  For example, you could also top with chives or jalapeño peppers.

Your kitchen counter is going to look kinda weird, and I've posted pics below of what to expect.  You want to have everything laid out and ready as the process moves quickly.  If you're anything like me, a minimalist, and believe "less is more,” then the cornucopia of ingredients might be a tad bit daunting.  Have no fear, and just jump right in:

  • Place chopped (uncooked) bacon in a large pot or Dutch oven and cook over medium heat until crisp and cooked through. Remove bacon to a paper towel lined plate and drain all but 1 1/2 tablespoons of grease.  You'll need this small amount of bacon grease later on.  Although a small amount, it goes a long way.
  • Add onion and pepper and cook until softened, about 3-5 minutes
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant (only about 30 seconds as garlic cooks quickly)
  • Add beef, breaking apart with a spatula as you cook.  Once the meat is partially (about 50%) browned, add sugar and all the spices (chili powders, paprika, cumin, onion powder, black pepper, salt cayenne pepper) and stir well
  • Add all the remaining ingredients - beef broth, beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, chilis, and Worcestershire sauce - and your cooked bacon and stir well
  • Bring the chili to a oil and cook 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently
  • Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally.  Simmer for 30 minutes to allow flavor to really develop.
  • Serve with any preferred toppings.

Some shots from my iPhone of the end result:

The best complement to a bowl of chili is cornbread!  And, if that statement doesn't mark me as a Southern woman, through and through, I don't know what will.  My Granny made it without measuring out a single ingredient, and I miss it so much.   I wish I had written down her recipe to pass along to you!

One last thing if you plan on having an Autumn chili party, I found this picture of a charcuterie for chili online:

Enjoy!

Ahhchooo! Excuse me it’s My Affluenza

Affluenza…what is it?  Although it sounds a lot like “influenza,” affluenza (a portmanteau, a word blending the sounds and combining the meaning of two other words such as “affluent” and “influenza”) refers to the disease of affluence.  While not a medically-recognized disease, affluenza is known as a “pseudoscientific” malaise affecting rich people.

Wikipedia defines affluenza as a “painful, contagious, socially-transmitted condition of overload, debt, anxiety, and waste resulting from the dogged pursuit of more” or a “quasi-illness caused by guilt for one’s own socio-economic superiority,” but simply put affluenza is an inability to understand the consequences of one’s actions because of financial privilege. Urban dictionary - for example, “Scotty has affluenza and thinks he can shit on people because he has money, and he thinks people actually like him but it’s the $500 a night mountain chalet for free they really want.”

A throwback from South Park: https://youtu.be/bGXV-oMgkWc?si=TaFNAxcsYiKU6l_Z

I remember when I first heard this term in the media, when a rich Texas teenager, Ethan Couch, mowed over four pedestrians/cyclists while drunk and on drugs in 2013, and his legal defense actually obtained testimony from an expert witness psychologist who coined the term as a legal defense - defending Ethan’s actions as “affluenza.”  Of course this sparked all sorts of outrage, especially among the victims’ families and the proletariat across the country who work, pay taxes and do right and obey the laws.

There is a great divide in this country and people are losing their houses (home equity loans will be the final demise or similar to the 2008 bubble because people will continue to borrow against their equity while their home values adjust and eventually they will be upside on their loan).  How many foreclosures were there in Colorado and Florida in 2022?  Google it!

It’s the haves and the have-nots and it was all by design to make us hate each other.  We are weaker when we are not United!  We are entering the caste system of India where you will have the hyper rich and then the poor and maybe a few academics sprinkled in between.  The middle class will completely disappear in the next few decades.  Again, by design, Machiavelli said the best way to control the masses is to keep them poor, hungry, and dumb (unable to form an independent thought and completely dependent on the government to provide).  Don’t turn off the channel yet!  You may wish to program this out because you’ve been socially conditioned to read this as hate.  It’s not hate and it’s not anger…it’s truth!

Now getting back to the topic at hand…

The reality is that someone who is born with so much wealth and power knows they can get away with just about anything.  For instance their father sold jewelry to people who were so lovesick, they would invest three month’s salary in a shiny rock.  Don’t get me started on the DeBeers fortune and how they control the supply by hoarding diamonds but making Americans believe they’re rare gems.

Why do rich people think they can do and get away with anything?  One reason is because they face a different justice system and know that if you throw enough money at something it’ll eventually go away.  The wheels of justice turn very easily for people with money.  The best lawyers with the best records work for the private sector for the rich!  Newsflash!  The privilege has nothing to do with melanin, it’s how stacked your wallet is (or how much credit you have - in other words you owe for just about everything).

I could spend this time going into theory, like when in 2007 Oliver James, a British psychologist hypothesized that the higher rate of mental disorders in this world were directly correlated with excessive wealth-seeking among consumerist nations.  Therefore, he deduced affluenza = selfish capitalism.

So the question is, if the economy is booming (or when it was), why are people not becoming happier?  Well, the argument is that affluenza leads to “luxury fever” where you just can’t get enough.  You get what you think you want and you hit that one dopamine fix, but then you just can’t stop and always need more to keep filling that empty void.  The truth is there is no end to the lust and greed for more and more.  Also, the pressures placed upon oneself to always be luxury seeking ultimately lead to the malaise of sickness, alienation, and addiction to drugs, alcohol and/or sex to attempt to hit the dopamine void created from chronic pleasure seeking.

The term affluenza can refer to rich kids who are so spoiled that they’ve eventually lost all empathy for any other human being.  Therefore the defense has been made in court that the kids were so rich and sheltered from the world and so privileged that they had absolutely no idea the ramifications of how truly horrible their actions were to other people affected.

I posted a picture earlier in this article.  This is me in front of the Menendez home, a murder mansion in Beverly Hills.  For my readers perhaps too young to recall this horrific event, Kyle and Lyle Menendez brutally murdered their parents in cold blood at close range with shot guns while they slept.  And then the two brothers blamed it on intruders while lavishly spent the money on Jeeps, Rolexes, tennis lessons, and lavish vacations.  Obviously it sparked suspicion but nobody thought anything about it.  Until that is, one of the brothers felt such guilt and remorse he sought therapy, and revealed he had gone along with his brother to murder their parents and take their wealth.

The therapist, in turn, told his mistress, who then got disgruntled with the therapist and told the press.  Later the sons claimed sexual abuse and pulled out whatever they could.  When you get caught, it’s just lies on top of lies with these people.  But they could have killed them in so many different undetectable ways!  Arsenic or poisoning, for example.  But they dispatched their parents in the most brutal, horrific way possible AND it was cowardly, while they slept in their bed.  They now have life in prison, and are getting their shit pushed in by Big Leroy.  Sometimes money will backfire on you especially if a jury of your peers resents or despises people with affluenza.

No matter how you roll the dice, you will always reap what you sow.  Don’t take shade from trees that don’t produce fruit,  and people will always water what matters to them.  A Biblical reference goes something like this, and I think it was from Sermon on the Mount, (and I’m paraphrasing) - where you lay your riches, there lies the desires of your heart.

Love,

Kimmie

That's Not What I Mint!

Me at the Denver Mint...

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Here is a snap shot of the US debt clock taken 9/27/2023 at 8:05 p.m.:

To see in real time, feel free to use this link as it's constantly fluctuating:

Why did I screen shot the US National Debt clock?  This real time clock shows debt per citizen and then debt per tax payer.  Meaning, children born today come out of the womb already owing just shy of $100,000.  Not all citizens of this country work, and sadly these stats get worse the longer the border remains open.  Remember the old adage, "you can't multiply wealth by dividing out?"  Well, aside from Harvard economics classes, it turns out that this math is true.  Not just the border, but when you displace the American worker by selling jobs overseas or replacing with AI, not only are these citizens not paying income tax, they’re now drawing welfare, EBT and other handouts.

As of the time I screen shot this image, every taxpayer in America owes $255,353 in debt if we are to divide out our national debt per taxpayer.  And, ADD that on top of student loans, mortgages with skyrocketing interest rates (why do you think I rent?), credit card debt, private schools, taxes, utilities and other expenses!  Even Kamala Harris said most Americans are $500 short of bankruptcy.  Really the only substantial and accurate thing to come out of her mouth.  We are a dying nation in serious decline.

This debt gets worse every time the federal government prints off more money to ship to Ukraine.  Those blue and yellow flags may as well signal, "Hey, we are in some serious shit financially and I don’t care because I’m virtue signaling for a country I can’t point to on a map!”  By the way, I don’t want to get too off track here, but you should research “war bonds” and how citizens used to buy them to help finance wars, particularly WWII, and keep America out of debt.  But these days Congress doesn’t sell war bonds and needs wars to launder money.  We all know this.  Look at the net worth of these “public servants” and then look at their annual salaries.  Laundering and insider trading for $500, Alex!

Also, ever heard of the Texas Basin (otherwise known as the Permian Basin)?  It's not talked about a lot since the USA is currently on this "green energy" bandwagon.  I put quotes there, because there's nothing green or environmental about it.  By the way, did anyone see in the news all the electric vehicles that caught on fire 🔥 with the rising water as they tried to seek shelter in Florida during Hurricane Idalia?  Turns out, salt water creates chemical combustion to the battery.  I guess the car dealership sales dude didn’t mention that.  Click here to see what I’m talking about:

Anyways, Joe Biden doesn't give a flying f*ck about the environment.  But, green energy lobbyist fill his family's pockets with gold, not to mention they probably buy Hunter’s crack straw paintings.  Back to this basin, the USA has more oil than any other country in the world (maybe Russia rivals the USA).  This is liquid GOLD!  Yet, the Biden administration is not interested in this natural resource to help dig the USA out of debt.  Instead they’re counting on their citizens to fund the green new deal.

With the green energy initiative, follow the money.  The oil companies certainly aren't making electric vehicles.  And for Coloradans reading this, research the new law the Air Quality Control Commission, given really unchecked and unlimited powers, currently trying to pass state law that by 2035, any NEW car (2025 beyond) MUST be an EV to be legally registered in Colorado.  It would essentially ban the sell of any new petrol powered cars.  Our secretary of Transportation was JUST bitching that he couldn't find a reliable charging station to charge his car.  The silver lining is that makes my car worth a lot of money in the used car market.  But, imagine this, you live in Wisconsin and just bought a new petrol powered car.  You get a job in Colorado in 2035 only to find you have to sell your new car because it can’t be registered in the state!  Fact check me:  idalia ev catch fire

The US dollar used to be the gold standard.  I’m not going to sugar coat this, because this is why people read my blog.  I’m real and I’ll shoot you straight.  Dire Straits.  Speaking of, time for a theme song: https://youtu.be/ZC1Pdsppch4?si=GLDKY_fmRdm20xMG

We are approaching the gates of hell with gasoline soaked rags.  Your current spending habits are about to change real quick.  I heard this recently and it’s true for me!  “I’m so glad I learned to be poor because it’s expensive to be poor these days!”  In my lifetime, I'll probably see the Renminbi, the Communist currency of China, become the new gold standard of the world.  Speaking of, not sure if anyone has heard of the Project Sandman. It's been heralded by woke liberals as a conspiracy theory, but honestly, conspiracy theory is like the new "n word"...it's designed to belittle, gaslight, and make you feel weird for discussing anything against the system's or "mainstream" narrative.  Basically conspiracy theory means spoiler alert  🚨:

You've also been told during the entire Biden administration that inflation is and remains at 7%.  And, all I can figure is that they're banking (all puns intended) Americans are just really dumb and bad at math.  And, I will be the first to agree that America boasts some really highly educated yet dumber than dirt citizens. It’s like when Joe Biden says he’s never taken a penny from China.  He’s right.  He hasn’t.  He’s taken billions.  Pay attention to how lawyers phrase things.  Unless inflation is compounded at 7% EACH month, to tell us it’s stagnant at 7%, is as ignorant as saying we don’t like Trump because his hair looks funny.  I'm going to share this formula with you so you know how to calculate inflation.  And, you know that computer in your pocket you use to look at cat videos?  It has a calculator on it!  Calling your smart device a phone is like calling a Lexus a cup holder   It’s just so much more!

[(the new price - the old price) / the old price] x 100

So, let's give it a whirl, shall we?  A bag of air...err, I mean potato chips was $2.50 in 2020.  Now this same bag of potato chips is $3.90.  Plugging into the inflation formula, that's a 56% increase, not 7%.  So, at least at the grocery store alone, prices of food are EIGHT times higher than the inflation bullshit they're selling you.  But, 7 sounds nice doesn't it.  Lucky number 7.  If you still believe inflation is only 7%, bless your heart.  So, back to the bag of potato chips: not only are they 56% more expensive, but now the bag is slightly smaller, there are less chips, and the quality is shit!  So, we can't even use the formula to be exact.  It's actually higher than 56% in this case.  So, why would the accountant at Frito Lay want 56% more for the same bag of chips?  Because they know that the US dollar ain't worth $1.00, more like $0.40.

Look, I wish I could say I buy American everything.  But, my car is a non-union built car.  I drive a Subaru, and living in Colorado off roading and navigating snow, are you really that shocked?  Currently in America, auto workers are strike demanding 40% increase in salaries to make low quality cars.  And I have seen Joe Biden walk lockstep with these workers in the ultimate show of betrayal and hypocrisy as he’s right at the center of all this trouble.  His party sold off American jobs.  As a general rule, they despise every state they fly over to get from NY or CA.  That’s why they wanna grain out of Ukraine!  We have grain here in the Midwest but it’s grown by farmers who voted the wrong way - so they don’t care if it rots in silos!  Americans have relied on rental cars and disposable cars!  They’re not built to last and everyone knows this.  Does this sound “green” or clean?!?  Importing grain?  From clear across the world when we have a plentiful resource domestically?

And, don't think the Chinese are done with us!  The Bidens are "tight" with this Communist country and have made a TON of money through their ties with China, both creepy Uncle Joe and Crackhead Hunter.  Have you wondered why Sam Bankmangried got away Scott free?!?  Because if he went to trial, through discovery they would have found all the loopholes to his crimes.  The government doesn’t want you to know all that.

Covid is the ONLY thing made in China that has lasted this long.  Hey, remember not too long ago when you were called a conspiracy theorist for stating COVID was manufactured in China using the US tax dollar?  The Maury lie detector test proved that was the truth!

Now let's talk money...queue theme music: https://youtu.be/2aW7HweAf3o?si=rZ_vnBAnq49gn0ik

For your money/time I’m giving you a two for one blog drop today:

Earlier this year I made a trip to one of four US Mints and this one is located here in Denver, Colorado.  Yes, it’s WORTH the tour.  And, yes, I wish I was a tour guide here.  It’s been a dream of mine to be a tour guide at a museum since I was little.  Here are few shares from my visit:

Short of a strip search, you can't take anything inside the Denver Mint.  So, make sure you only show up with your tickets.  They'll take your phones, purses, etc.  You can't have any electronics on your body.

Parking is non-existent, so Uber if you can OR walk.  But, you will have to account for enough time, if you drive, to park far away for public parking.  Trust me, there is zero parking within several blocks of this place unless you get there at 5 am and pay a dollar an hour in meter!

There is an age restriction.  You can't bring small children.  Check their website on this.  I believe it’s 7 years or older to be able to tour.

Tickets are FREE!  You have to show up early and stand in this line.  A guy will walk down the line asking you how many and what tour time you want.  Once tickets are gone, they're gone for that day, so get there early!

There was a “gangster guy” back in the day who worked on the floor of the mint.  I don’t really think he was in a gang but his picture looked pretty gangster.  He was miffed that he hadn’t had a raise in years, he decided to matter into his own hands. Daily, he was slipping a gold bar in his uniform and burying it in his back yard.  They finally realized the rat and the missing gold and he served some time in another state and then came back to Denver to work for the DOT.  I raised my hand and asked if he was responsible for the shitty roads.  My tour group chuckled.

One of the most important positions at the mint is the Quality Control!  This is neat to watch them in action, because if you find a coin with a defect, it could be worth A LOT of money.  Once, they accidentally stamped two different US Presidents on a coin and those coins went out in circulation.  Now, anyone with a copy is independently wealthy.

The Mint is private and are personally owned businesses!  It's not a government entity.  It sells coinage to the US government at face value.  However, due to gross government mismanagement of the dollar, the Mint is actually losing money on coin manufacturing.  For example:

It costs $.02 to make one penny and $.11 to make a nickel; however, the US Mint makes up for it with the production of quarters and dimes:

It costs $.04 to make a dime and $.11 to make a quarter!  The US Mint has contemplated taking the penny out of circulation.  This is sad for me since I believe in lucky 🍀 pennies.

The giftshop is amazing.

Thanks for stopping in!  October is right around the corner!  And, I've got some breadmaking on my bucket list.  I'm going to make a banana walnut and pumpkin bread in the bread maker my brother gifted me - which takes a lot of precision at our altitude.  It’s like the best Yankee Candle ever made to smell the aroma of fresh made bread in your kitchen. ALSO, I'm going to give pickling a shot.

Until next time!

Kimme
