Hey You Guys!
I found a little fixer upper off-grid! Who wants to come live in my commune?? I'm taking mermaid applications first. Equal-opportunity mermaid housing!
No, for real: My friend texted me that she randomly stumbled upon a "cave" while camping + hiking with her fiancé. He was not quite in the mood for adventuring + exploring the cavern area (mainly for safety reasons, even though there was no sign that read "Free Hugs Inside"). So, Abby asked me if I wanted to camp + cave explore with her. She knows she can count on me to do random + crazy stuff. By the way, this was an abandoned + retired gold mine shaft, even though it kinda looks like a cave.
Quick Cave Trivia:
Spelunking or cave exploration can be a little risky. Risks include hypothermia, rockfall, drowning, exhaustion, and bad air (in the South, I would worry about slithery little water moccasins). Statistically cavers run a 1/3,332 chance of dying + 1/624 cavers sustain serious injuries. The leading cause of death is either drowning or falling. (I used to sell insurance so I'm brainwashed now into automatically wanting to know all risk assessments for general activities)...
I'm sworn to secrecy on disclosing this campsite location/coordinates. Literally, I had to swear on my life I would not ever tell this campsite spot (similar to our shared CE-5 UFO encounter spot). I shall take this to my grave, friend. Scout's honor.
I'm a child of the 80's...so, when I heard caves + camping I immediately thought..."GOONIES!!!" Who's with me? This was such a cool camping experience. We discovered some great neighbors, too, who generously shared their Schnapps + s'mores booty + their acoustic guitar. Thanks, Stormy + Gibson for being the best campsite neighbors. Sharing some photos for your viewing pleasure:

Ahhh, the 80's were great, no? I am working on a couple blogs right now that I can't wait to share. I've started them, but I'm not quite ready to pull the trigger on the "publish" button. They're both cool topics that hopefully encourage independent thought.
Until then...
Kimmie
